Terms of Service

1. Description of the service

JobMatrix helps you find and organize job opportunities: we surface job postings, score how well each one matches your profile, help you prepare tailored application materials, and let you track the status of applications you submit. You review and approve any application materials before they're used, and you remain in control of what gets submitted and where.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@jobmatrix.dev if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Plans and billing

JobMatrix is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we'll update these Terms with the relevant billing details before any charges apply.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Submit false, misleading, or another person's information in your profile or application materials.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
• Use the Service to spam employers or submit the same application excessively.
• Share your account with others or resell access to the Service.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of your resume and any other content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant JobMatrix a limited license to store, process, and use it solely to provide the Service to you (for example, parsing your resume to score job matches). You're responsible for ensuring Your Content is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

6. Job listings from third parties

Job postings shown in the Service are sourced from public company career pages and other third-party sources. We don't control and can't guarantee the accuracy, availability, or outcome of any listing. JobMatrix is not the employer for any position shown in the Service and is not a party to any employment relationship that may result from your use of it.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by JobMatrix and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will be matched with, apply to, or be hired for any job. Job matching scores and resume suggestions are generated to assist you and may not always be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobMatrix will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any employment outcome. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which JobMatrix, Inc. is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
